I finished a project that was a long time in the making. I bought a dollhouse at the monthly flea market in Pasadena then spent a year shooting it and a model on a backdrop to create a story within it. It took quite a bit of time to get the shots right, the lighting right on the model but in the end I am happy with the results.
I just spent several days In Puerto Vallarta and while the Mexican culture is very colorful I felt that the black and white imagery here better captured the drama and simple beauty that abounds in this port city.
I recently reunited with one of my favorite models, Joanna Vardi after a 2 year hiatus when we realized we now lived 20 minutes apart rather than previously 3000 miles. Here is the a sample of our most recent collaboration which took place in one day on the beaches of Los Angeles and in my studio in Pasadena. Expect to see more of Joanna in the future...
